Teaser for the Thailand launch of the Adizero Adios Pro 4 — "Shifting Shadows", a story told through light, shadow and texture. I designed the storyboard and the look, and produced the film with my team.
Concept — I pitched two to three storyboard directions. adidas picked one, and that board became the shooting script.
Made in camera, not with AI — Real black sand was spread on clear acrylic, and running-track lines were drawn into it by hand. A light wrapped in blue foil sat under the acrylic, glowing up through the lines, and we moved it during every take. Every glow and shadow in the film is real light, not a render.
Edit & finish — I cut the film to the storyboard and added effects, CG ocean waves and an animated monkey logo. For the final scene adidas asked to drop the light-trail-on-sand effect, but the technique still carries the earlier scenes.
Sound — I picked the track that fit the cut best, then layered in waves, birdsong and a monkey call at the end.
